Leigh designed the concept for this Dickens exhibition whilst Head of Design at the Museum of London, then oversaw the development into scheme stage with her in-house team. These simple models were made to help understand and maximise the 500m2 gallery space.

Using sound, careful lighting and visual effects, Leigh created many ideas that were implemented to give a very atmospheric and immersive exhibition.

An idea Leigh had was to animate the famous Robert William Buss painting ‘Dickens Dream’. Video animation of the characters in Dickens dream float out of his head into the library. In front of the animation are the chair and writing desk that Dickens used.
