After some research, Leigh engaged a British model maker based outside New York to make six lifelike cob horses to highlight the key exhibit of the coach. Made from a unique process using sprayed acrylic and real horsehair manes and tails, the horses were shipped across, and then dressed with harnesses and tackle.
The horses have become a very popular feature in the lower galleries, and are designed to take the weight of an adult. They are groomed weekly.
