Leigh worked with the curator Hazel Forsyth to redesign the popular gallery that tells the story of the Great Fire of London and other key stories from 1550 to 1660’s. This included the design of the existing and very fragile 1914 model of the fire into a seated and darkened cinema.

The gallery is now bright and vibrant and is far more hands on. ‘This gallery is probably one of the best known areas of the museum and is certainly a more inviting place to visit.
